Johannes Sahlmann

Support Scientist

Johannes is an AURA Instrument Scientist and is sharing his functional work between the JWST/NIRISS and Telescopes teams. He is supporting astrometry and focal plane calibration for HST and JWST and the non-redundant masking mode of NIRISS that is realizing the highest spatial resolution of JWST. His astronomy research deals with the observational study of the transition region between giant extrasolar planets and brown dwarfs, often with the help of high-precision astrometry from a variety of techniques and instruments.
