Jennifer Lotz is an associate astronomer at the Space Telescope Science Institute. With Hubble, she hunts for the first galaxies in the universe and watches galaxies collide (very slowly).

Science Interests:

  • HST Frontier Fields survey of strong lensing clusters to detect faint galaxies in the early universe
  • Galaxy structural evolution in extragalactic surveys
  • Hydrodynamical simulations of galaxy mergers and assembly
  • Astrostatistical approaches to classifying galaxies and measuring galaxy evolution
