Description:

Speaker: Scott Fleming (Space Telescope Science Institute)

In April 2018, NASA’s Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) launched and by the summer, it was sending back data. What has this planet-hunter found? Dr. Scott Fleming will share several of the exciting discoveries astronomers have uncovered, as well as detail how the observatory is designed and how it compares to NASA’s Kepler/K2 mission. All of the data from TESS is available in the Barbara A. Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes (MAST), which is based at the Space Telescope Science Institute.
